Rhino Walk

When the Mondi 21 5km walk was cancelled due to bad weather, we wondered whether we could muster up the enthusiasm for the re-scheduled event.  We should not have doubted the Grantleigh spirit!

The Grantleigh family turned out in their beautiful tie-dyed Rhino Walk T-shirts to make an impressive stand in the fight against rhino poaching in our country.  Our mission was to win the grand prize for the school with the most pupils participating, and to hand the prize money over to the rhino campaign.

While we did not have the numbers to win the grand prize, our students made an impact with their impeccable behaviour and their enthusiasm and school spirit.  Ably lead by a group of senior students, our students chanted war cries throughout the morning and ended their walk with an impressive show of spirit at the finishing line.

They were rewarded with winning the prize for the school with the most spirit!  This is a marvellous accolade and confirmation that all the efforts of the Grade 12 Esprit de Corps portfolio have been worthwhile.
