As a school founded on Christian principles, the concept of  “love thy neighbour”  is central to the Grantleigh ethos. To this end, children are encouraged to consider others less fortunate than themselves and, where possible, to make a difference in their lives. There are a variety of different outreach projects which Grantleigh undertakes through the course of the year and within the different phases of the school.

The Interact Club drives the outreach projects in the College and some of these are:

  •  We offer financial support for a number of orphanages/homes.
  • We have an Easter egg drive for less privileged pupils in surrounding schools.
  • We support Walk for Life.
  • We take part in Winter Warmth and Toy Story
  • We collect stationery and books for less privileged schools.
  • We offer help to our own school community (ground staff).
  • We offer help to the SPCA.

The pupils in the Prep school are always eager and willing to get involved in outreach projects.  Some of the projects they support are:

  • Collect Stationery for disadvantaged schools
  • Collect food for Zimbabwe pensioners
  • Pennies from Heaven – collection of small change
  • SPCA – collect pet food / money
  • Winter Warmth and Toy Story
